Crazy Parrot Party - 30th December

On Friday, the Crazy Parrot club started the New Year's celebrations nice and early with a marathon party.

Lots of Funky Friends danced to music from DJ Butterfly, DJ Bob and a live performance from Somewhereintime Jupiter.  There was something for everybody, and we all had a great time !

Tango Ta Taa!

The thrill was Nu-Tango!  DJ Eaton will played titillating, tingling Tango with quite a groove to it. We were hearingl Tango Crash, Tango Conspiracy, Gotan Project, Supervielle. The names didn't mean a thing to till after we checked 'em out!.  Awesome sounds all enjoyed at beautiful Key West.

A few bikers rode into town looking for some Great Southern Rock ..Both old and New.  Hevy is calling the Funky Gang to represent! DJ Xavia helped us hold a Southern Hospitality Rock Dance! Both Locals and Bikers looked great.   Hevy elbows JB.. check out the Biker gals.. Leather pants and String tops!  All enjoyed the free long necks from the bar and got brave enough to do some stage dancing..

Christmas Evening Funky Get-Together at Belar

 Christmas evening the Funkies had a wonderful time dancing to the great tunes played by our DJ Susie.  We even had a little reindeer who joined us for some fun after his busy 24 hours of flying around the world.  We also welcomed two new Funkies to the group!  We had a great evening!

Happy Holidays Funky Friends!  A few hard core had finished shopping and could stop by for dancing at Belar Inshan from 6-8PM.   Kittsy said " It's Christmas! (Come dressed as any Christmas icon of any kind)" DJ Jaffee will be rocking us to start off our holidays!  Jaffee did a marvelous job and we meet an old dancer Dale Compton and Jeni and Kittsy looked awesome.  Hevy :)

Kellie and gang had so much fun last week at Club MoMa Dance Hall that we headed back to the 80s again!  DJ Jaymes spun some awesome tunes for us that we haven't heard in so long.  Casual dress was the welcomed, and as always it was just come as you are so all had fun. What Holiday Fun!

DJ Xavia spun Spirited  Holiday Music as we Danced in a  Winter-Wonderland - giant Snow Globe!..  DIt was Wonderland Whites & Blues, or Xmas Fun-ky with Hot Cider and gingerbread cookies for all.  Santa Hevy, Yelled HO HO HO and sent a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday to all.

 We gathered many pilots, to celibate flight and success of the Wright control specialist!  Two of the most famous dreamers that wanted man to fly.  We shared that dream and showed our SL Wings or were Plots to honor their efforts to find control. Hey Funkies :) Friday the Crazy Parrot had a formal evening to celebrate the re-opening at a new sim. The Funkies joined the Crazies danced by DL Cedar and music from DJ Bobsknief Orsini at 2pm - and enjoyed the stage show by the live performer Somewhereintime Jupiter at 3pm!  All looked great in their favourite ball gown or fancy tux.  With the wide range of music Cedar did an awesome Job!   Hevy for Cedar

Pearl Harbor Day Event at Belar Inshan w/DJ Jaffee

Belar Inshan had a Pearl Harbor Day Event. The day of infamy was Dec. 7th so we used this weekend to get in a Navy Honoring 70 Years Salute Dance. Casual dress was is fine, many came dressed as a sailor or naval officer. DJ Jaffe helped us bring had a fun Salute to the Navy.

Funkies had a Bubblegum Dance in a Gumball Machnine! Points-> Our own - Tarina suggested it!  *Runs*.   We were kids again!  Many came causal or dressed as a Teen, Pre-Teen or even be a KID avi!   DJ Xavia played Bubblegum Rock N Pop Music, that was an upbeat sound contrived and marketed to appeal to pre-teens and teenagers!  Yummy, Yummy I Got Love in my Tummy!  All had free gum!  Hevy and Xavia

From 12pm SLT for two hours Cedar led us for dancing with DJ Grit.  Grit played a set of smooth and jazzy tunes - perfect for a Tuesday !!  It was a "Come as you Are and Enjoy dance. :)

DJ Xavia played for us a tribute to Billie Holliday with some wonderful Jazz tossed in!  Last time she did jazz it was so so laid back and groovy.    Many got elegant at Casablanca and enjoyed an evening of show dancing to the awesome sounds with Hostess Simone and DL Hevy

Funkies had a "Sock Hop" Saturday.. Gosh it looked "cool"..... Pony Tails, Bobby Socks, Saddle Shoes, Poodle Skirts, Jeans and Tees. 50s and 60s were a time of fun, Soda Shops, Drive Ins. Hot rods! It was Black Friday - the Infamous (US) Christmas Shopping Day!   We did so well getting deals we had to celebrate. DJ Jaffee helped us by keeping the beats coming and had us hopping as we dressed to move fast and got all the deals! Hevy.

 The Funkies were all decked out with some pretty cool costumes, we were looking pretty hip!  Kellie brought along her little love van which was a big hit!  Once our event came to a end at La Dolce Vita..we all climbed in and headed over to Belar InShan with DJ Susie, where our party continued for another two hours.

Saturday, November 19th the Funkies headed to the beach on Key West for a little fun in the sun!  Not sure what was in the coconuts but they kept as refreshed while DL Kellie helped everyone kick up some sand.  DJ EX helped us set the mood with some beach boys and other various surfin tunes!

Sunday Night Turkey Trot

Sunday Night at Belar Inshan brought many laughs thanks to our Turkey (Solus) at the end of the line.  Luckily no stuffing or giblets were throw around during the dances.  We gave thanks to many that evening! Ambra and Swam invited the Funkies to a fun Latin party! We were invited to LAS MUCHACHAS where DJ Rose Decatur played an awesome stream of LATIN beats for our Feats!   Many came dressed in Latin looks.  Also it was nice to see some famous older Funkies: Cuka, Lulu, Dre and Trish came! It was a "Giving Thanks" New Pop Style Country Music Dance event at Zephyrs from12 - 2!  We all circled up and enjoyed stepping out to the sounds DJ Jaffee played of bands like Lady Antebellum & Rascal Flats. It was Square Dancing with a fresh twist!  Dress was Casual or New Country!  Hevy............

We were capturing fun for two hours with DJ Bobsnkief Ornini at The Crazy Parrot club.  Cedar lead us wonderfully.... It was  a Jungle Fever Party, where many dresses up all hot & tropical as a Tarzan, a Jane, or even a Ape. As allways it was never worry a about dress. Just come and have fun :) .
