Disco Dancing & New DJ at WEKIR! February 29th 4-6 PM

We donned our disco duds and welcomed our new DJ Justme!  Sparkling, shiny, colorful polyester clothes with huge bell bottoms, platform shoes, lots of gold chains, long hair and afros!  We really dug DJ Justme's disco tunes!  The Funkies were at peak silliness! Come As You Are ~ Moma Dance Hall

Thursday night the Funkies enjoyed a great evening of dancing, laughing and listening to some great tunes from DJ Jaymes.  The Funkies are so lucky to have such a great DJ.  DJ Jaymes was away from home but still kept the music going from his hotel.  We had a few bumps along the way however the Funkies and DJ Jaymes stuck with it and we had a great time! Eclectic Ethnic at Key West 2/23/12

Carnival Party at Key West

On Tuesday, we danced for two hours at Key West with DJ Grit, and we held a Carnival Theme Party - just like all those fun places such as Rio.  All you Funky Feat people are always good at having fun and dressing up - well,  tonight you all EXCELLED !!

The evening was like our own private Mardi Gras !  If we had been awarding prizes, everyone would have deserved to win.

Sunday Night Come As You Are @ Belar Inshan

USO Tribute @ Two Moon Paradise-Sunday

Throughout our country’s history, Americans have felt profound appreciation and gratitude for the dedication and sacrifice of our troops and their families. The USO provides a tangible way for all of us to say thank you, as it has for 70 years. At Two Moon Paradise, DJ Jaymes, DL Kellie and all the guests and funky members gave a special salute to all our service men and women all over the globe!  We had an amazing turn out! Kellie

Monday Night @ Two Moon Paradise

The Funkies ventured over to a new venue Monday night and had an amazing time.  They were joined by so many guests of this great venue that at one point, all spaces were filled!  AMAZING!  We went back to the roaring 20s and swung the night away.  DJ Jaymes was cranking out some great swing & jive tunes.  Of course the Funkies were asked to come back so we will definitely be heading back to Two Moon Paradise soon! Funky Feats 50s and 60s Dance at Casablance Feb. 6th 3-5

Freedom Day @ Wekir February 1, 2012

February 1st is Freedom Day in the US.  Freedom Day commemorates the day President Lincoln signed the proclamation for amending the Constitution to abolish slavery.  DJ Minister played up-beat tunes that made our costumes flow freely.  Free's peacock gown made the day.  Hugs, DL Jeni Luik
