Whew!

Saturday, October 29 2010 the tenacious Funky dancers performed a 

FUN Halloween Dance Marathon!

The Funkies joined a special "Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween" event at Key West from 12-6PM where many many "Wavers" supported the dance and then the Funkies, sore feet and all, hoofed it over to J&J Stables for a Grand Opening Greet and Meet Halloween Dance from 6-8PM.

Key West was all decked out for the "Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween" event and provided Howling Good Music with DJs Jaffee, Moonie, and Experiment!  DL's Kellie, Hevy and Jeni lead the dances.

 J&J Stables welcomed us and the group set up a LONG line dance, and I enjoyed meeting many new people at this new venue. A nice fun group!   DJ Susie spun some awesome tunes and DL Kellie lead us as we danced the night away!

A British horror comedy stage musical, and who's play was adapted as the 1975 film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, a cult film and the longest-running theatrical release in film history.

In honor Key West is doing Six hours of great groovy ghouling!! With 3 DJs playing very varied music (DJ Jaff, DJ Moonie and DJ Experiment!). Naturally thay have a special set to get you in the mood as well. Grab whatever you feel fits well to Rocky Horror or Halloween and get yourself to Key West on SATURDAY 29th, 12-6pm!

Also this sharing leads to  better understanding, so Saturday each dancer picked a culture and represented it in dress. Tia laid on a little birthday suprise for Eaton - the Party Deck at Key West was all decorated up, and we had hats and party tooters, and cake - yep the whole works !!

"Sweetest Day" is a day to celebrate anyone in your life who is sweet. Kinda Valentian's Day but without the romantic overtones.   We had a grab a "sweety" and spotlight dance on the cupcake event!  DJ Jaffee inspired us with show tunes and swing music.   Dress was Pro Show Dancer Styles like dancing with the stars. Saturday we had Oktoberfest at Zephyr's Beer Garden

Many came and joined the Beer Festival Drinking and Dancing Event. We danced to a mix of awesome FUN Music as DJ Jaffe  fires up the party. We met up at the Zepher's Beer Tent.   Dress was casual or traditional Bavarian Styles AND the first round of  Beer was on Hevy.

It was the British Rock Invasion at Belar Inshan Social Club!  Hevy grabbed his Contential Army gear and came to hold them off, there were just too many!   Meanwhile DJ Jaffee Gaffer got them all excited as he spun some British Rock - Animals, Beatles, The Dave Clark Five, Freddie and the Dreamers, Hermans Hermits, The Hollies,The Kinks, The Moody Blues, The Rolling Stones, The Troggs, The Who, The Yardbirds...Finally Hevy gave in, danced with everyone and yelled Cheers Mates! The Thursday thrill was Gypsy Music! The most excellent  DJ Eaton took us on a nomadic musical journey....Balkan (of course) but also jazz tunes, a couple of popular tunes about being a Gypsy you might have forgot.
