Big Band Swing Dance at BJ Legends - DL Jeni Luck

BLegend's owners, Justme and Bob Corrigible, did a wonderful job of decorating a big band era street scene.  DJ Bob played an awesome selection of 1930s and 1940s big music.  Dancers wore great costumes of gangsters, flappers, and more.  There was lots of fun dancing and conversation.

Funky Feats Dance at Key West - DL Jeni Luck

The theme was about winners and winning.  The very creative DJ Eaton found an amazing array of tunes.  Delphia ran a wonderful light show.  Dancers wore costumes to celebrate their favorite winners.  We laughed and danced joyfully!

Cinco de Mayo Dance at WEKIR - DL Jeni Luck

Minister created a very festive cantina and decorated it wonderfully for Cinco de Mayo.  Minister also was the DJ, and he played a great selection of Latin music.  Dancers dressed for the occasion and Etain handed out Cinco de Mayo maracas and other props.  It was a blast!

STOMP !! Saturday 28th April at The Zephyr Club

On Saturday, Jeni treated us to a real good Stomp dance.  We were all lined up with dustbins, (aka garbage cans), lids and sticks.  Everyone had a great time beating out the rhythms and dancing to the music from DJ Jaffee !

It's been a while since we had a good old stomp, and this dance reminded us how much fun it is.  Well done Jeni !



Trailer Trash Dance at The Crazy Parrott

Oh folks, did we have fun tonight ! 

The Crazy Parrot had a 'Trailer-Trash' party, so for once we put on our slovenly and beer-stained clothes and sobered up enough to have a real good party.  When I checked back at the photos I realised that a lof of folk had still arrived in all their finery - and you know what - it made the rest of us look even trashier !! Well done.

I lead the dances, and DJ Butterfly did a great extended set of songs, then we were treated to a superb live performance from the Crazy Parrot's favourite singer, Mr Somewhereintime Jupiter.  Everyone went home back to their trailer-parks totally satisfied :)

Friday we had a theme party at Crazy Parrot where many came dress in India Theme dress and danced to Belly and Bollywood Rock. DJ Bobsknief did the DJing and our great DL Cedar did the wiggles. The Funkie ladies looked great!  Hevy

Big Band Tuesday

Tuesday night the Funky Feats were such a force to be reckoned with that they crashed the sim!  Dj Jaymes and DL Kellie swung the guests right out of Second Life! Amazing set, incredible tunes!  Always a blast when we visit this venue on Tuesday nights! Hugs DL Kellie

St. Patricks Day Weekend Finale!

The Funky Feats had a wonderful weekend full of St. Patrick's Day festivities.  Sunday night ended with the Funkies at Belar with DJ Susie, Hostess Kittsy and DL Kellie.  Again we had a wonderful turn out, just amazing to see so many funkies joining us.  There was a sea of green with great costumes!

The Funkies enjoyed a wonderful evening at Electric Blues with DJ Jack Baxton celebrating St. Patricks Day!  There was a sea of green!  Many great costumes!  We even had a special appearance from Leprechaun Hevy Malibu!  Thank you to everyone who came out and join us.  A great time had by all!  Cheers!  Kellie

Viking Invasion !!

We had a real fun evening on Friday, dressed as Vikings at the Crazy Parrot.  We danced to some stunning rock music from DJ Bobsknief Orisini.  Carolus & Earthchild challenged each other to a duel, and oddly no-one was harmed, LOL!

After that event, I learned a valuable Viking lesson: never dance on the pointy helmet!

Funkies Go Camping At Belar!

The Funkies had a fantastic evening camping out at Belar with DJ Susie and DL Kellie.  Everyone had their roasted marshmellows on a stick and a red solo cup!  We had the tents ready, horses and even a bear sighting! What a great night, thank you Funkies so much!  You guys are awesome!

Circus at Valentinos! 6-8 PM Friday 3/2/12

Funkies, we have found a fabulous new club to misbehave in!  Valentino's was wonderfully decorated as a Circus by Geena Zackerly. There were clowns, lion tamers, acrobats, jesters, fortune tellers.  DJ Fazio Magic wowed us all with truly awesome music and a light show.  We will be back next Friday! We donned our disco duds and welcomed our new DJ Justme!  Sparkling, shiny, colorful polyester clothes with huge bell bottoms, platform shoes, lots of gold chains, long hair and afros!  We really dug DJ Justme's disco tunes!  The Funkies were at peak silliness! Thursday night the Funkies enjoyed a great evening of dancing, laughing and listening to some great tunes from DJ Jaymes.  The Funkies are so lucky to have such a great DJ.  DJ Jaymes was away from home but still kept the music going from his hotel.  We had a few bumps along the way however the Funkies and DJ Jaymes stuck with it and we had a great time! Carnival Party at Key West

On Tuesday, we danced for two hours at Key West with DJ Grit, and we held a Carnival Theme Party - just like all those fun places such as Rio.  All you Funky Feat people are always good at having fun and dressing up - well,  tonight you all EXCELLED !!

The evening was like our own private Mardi Gras !  If we had been awarding prizes, everyone would have deserved to win.

USO Tribute @ Two Moon Paradise-Sunday

Throughout our country’s history, Americans have felt profound appreciation and gratitude for the dedication and sacrifice of our troops and their families. The USO provides a tangible way for all of us to say thank you, as it has for 70 years.
